Ventana al Jazz

Every last Sunday of the month we have a really nice event called Ventana al Jazz (Jazz at the Window) sponsored by Heineken.  Some of the best Jazz musicians in the world have played their sexy tunes here.  Its really a gathering place for us Puertorricans who just love to party and gather!  The venue is a park that sits between the ultra elegant VANDERBILT HOTEL and the Uber Chic La Concha Hotel and accross the street you'll find CARTIER, GUCCI, FERRAGAMO AND LOUIS VUITTON among other high end Luxury Retailers.  Also across the street atop those fabulous shops you'll see BUDATAI a sultry restaurant-bar specialized in asian/latino fusion.  Parts of the webisode you will see from their roof top terrace with a birds eye view of the event and show.

People will be walking around, hanging with friends and sitting in the grass with their own beach chairs comfy with their coolers,. its like a big picnic/concert at sunset.  And the ocean is right behind.  The atmosphere is relax and festive.  Lots of food kiosks and plenty of beer and Caribbean drinks like Mojito's, pina coladas and the classical rum and coke.  In the winter the temperature is very pleasant at around 74.  In the summer it can get a little warm but the ocean always helps us with a soft breeze that cools your soul.  And if your too hot the beach is right there for you to float in. 

I have traveled around the world to such exotic places as Bali and Tenerife but the waters of the Atlantic that play with our sands are nice and warm and usually tranquil.  This has got to be one of the nicest events I am lucky to enjoy right in my neighborhood.  And wish to share with all my friends abroad and to our expatriates in far away places.

Come see Puerto Rico, come enjoy our culture and our music.  But more important, bring your friends...
